“It’s just a jump to the left” and across the river to find this monthly showing of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” with the Denton Delinquents performing on stage below the screen while with the cult classic movie plays above.
Wear a costume, buy a prop bag at the theater to follow along with the shenanigans, or just sit back, relax, eat your movie theater popcorn, and enjoy. Any which way you like it, this is unlike any movie experience you’ve ever seen before.
“The Rocky Horror Picture Show” is the longest continuously-running movie in history (it came out in 1975) and stars Susan Sarandon and Tim Curry. It’s Rated R mainly because the movie was just too different in 1975. — Today we have the Internet. — The audience callbacks to the action happening onscreen can be lewd sometimes, too, but viewing “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” in a theater with a shadow cast is a magical, enchanting experience.
So, if you’re still a Rocky Horror virgin, you better wise up, Janet Weiss, and get yourself to the Kiggins Theatre now!
